Welcome to the 48 Hour Pre-Exam Course
The purpose of our 48 hour Pre-Exam Course is very simple - to help you pass the real estate salesperson's test for the state of Missouri. We have two options for you to choose from:
Option 1: The Online Course...
- The cost of this option, which includes several sample tests, is $245.00 (for this option you will register on line)
Option 2: The Off-line Correspondence Course...
- The cost of the hard copy materials with binder, audio CD's and DVD is $335.00 – plus $12.95 shipping and handling. Sample tests are included (to register contact kdaugherty@missouriprelicense.com or call Kim Daugherty at 314-298 5013)
Rules and Regulations
- All students need to take and pass the end of course test AFTER spending a minimum of 40 clock hours on the course material. Many successful students spend 60-70+ hours total. They read, learn, review…remember your goal: learn it to pass the test*
- Although students have 6 months to complete the on line course and take the school's end of course test, we do recommend however, that you complete the course in 30 days or less for best results.
- You must invest a minimum of 40 clock hours prior to being eligible to take the end of course test. The minimum of forty reflects the traditional 48 hour course minus breaks.
- A timing device in the course makes sure the student logs a minimum of forty (40) clock hours prior to being able to take the end of course test.
- All students must follow all Missouri Real Estate Commission rules and regulations.
- All students must follow all AMP rules and regulations.
- This is a self-directed program. It is ultimately the responsibility of the student to complete the course.
- No refunds will be given.
*In class students have a structured schedule which helps them stay on track…plus they study between classes. You will want to set up a specific schedule for yourself so that you stay on track. We highly recommend you do your plan right NOW! We hope for your sake that your plan ranges from two to four weeks in length. Best results happen when students get focused and stay focused over a short period of time. Catch as catch can does NOT work well for positive results. Be focused and disciplined.
The following steps are necessary for obtaining a real estate salesperson’s license in the state of Missouri.
- Complete the 48-hour salesperson pre-examination course (must be completed within 6 months of registering).
- Pass the state licensing AMP exam.
- Complete the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course.
- Associate with a real estate broker that is licensed in the state of Missouri.
- Apply for a license.
Steps 2, 3, 4, and 5 must be completed within 6 months of completing the pre-examination course.
*The rules do not require that students pass the state licensing exam before completing the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course, but we strongly recommend that students take the pre-examination course and pass the state licensing exam before taking the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course. The pre-examination course helps you pass the test. The 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course provides information for the real world of real estate.
The state of Missouri uses Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) to administer their licensing exam. Please click on the following link and review their student handbook now.
