The purpose of this course is two-fold:
- First, it helps you, the student, fulfill the pre-license educational requirement of the 24 hour course called Missouri Real Estate Practice.
- Second, it focuses on some of the key topics and issues that are part of providing quality results for consumers.
Serving as a licensee in Missouri is a high calling. Consumers come to us hoping and expecting to reach their real estate related goals. We encourage you to keep “customer service” as your focal point as you progress through the chapters.

Chapter Ten: Supplemental Resources
This Chapter has two primary purposes:
#1. For students who complete chapters one thru nine prior to clocking in the minimum required twenty (20) hours, this chapter offers options of where to spend the balance of your time to fulfill your time obligations.
#2. For students who want to continue learning, above and beyond the required material, this provides you with valuable food for thought. We highly recommend that all licensees continue their education on a regular basis.
| Chapters One through Nine… | these are “Required Chapters” and will be on the End of Course Exam. The exam is a review of some of the basic material and information in these chapters. |
| Chapter Ten (only)*… | This is a “Supplemental Chapter”* and will NOT be on the End of Course Exam. |
Course Layout
We have used a very simple three-step approach to most chapters and topics:
| Step One: | We direct you to a website (link) that specifically addresses the current topic or sub-topic. |
| Step Two: | You will be instructed as to what to read at each specific site. |
| Step Three: | You will return to our site (your home site) for a short quiz and/or assignment. This also includes “Fast Facts” about each topic/chapter. |
Missouri Real Estate Commission Rules
For Students:
Every application for original salesperson license shall be accompanied by proof acceptable to the commission that the applicant has met all applicable requirements of sections 339.010 through 339.190, RSMo and these rules, including but not limited to:
- Proof of successful completion of an approved forty-eight (48)-hour course of study known as “Salesperson Pre-Examination Course” prior to the date of examination and no more than six (6) months prior to the postmark date applied by the postal service or hand delivery date of license application to the Missouri Real Estate Commission;
- Proof of satisfactory completion of both national and state portions of the required examination after the successful completion of the course identified as “Salesperson Pre-Examination Course”; and
- Proof of successful completion of an approved twenty-four (24)-hour course known as “Missouri Real Estate Practice Course” completed after successful completion of the “Salesperson Pre-Examination Course.”
About Schools:
- Schools that offer on-line courses designed for credit must be able to show proof that a twenty-four hour course takes a minimum of twenty clock hours (ten minutes of each hour is allowed for breaks totaling four hours).
- A student must take and successfully pass a fifty (50) question test at the end of the course. A passing score is 75%.

There are no refunds for any reason.
Course Design and MREC Rules
*What we have done to comply with the rules, and for both your sake and that of the school’s, is program this course to make sure it takes the individual student the required time to complete. This ensures you get credit. A timer will keep you informed of how much time you have invested as you progress through the material. If you finish the required content early, you will be able to go back to the websites that we have linked to and you can complete your time by exploring in more detail any one or collection of the approved topics/chapters in this course. This feature allows you the benefit of gaining credit while enhancing your knowledge. The test will be available to you on-line once you have logged in your minimum of twenty hours.
